Damian Alzua is a queer, p.o.c., fiber artist, living and working in Tucson, AZ.  Pronouns: they, them, theirs.

Immersed in a practice identified with the feminine,
Damian Alzua examines the implications of their personal identity within a seemingly masculine body. They highlight the innate tactile nature of textiles and connect this to the universal human desire for intimacy and understanding.

Furthermore, Damian explores cloth as an allegory of intersectional identity.

Our lives, our experiences, our identities are composed of countless threads, intersecting at thousands of points creating structures of strength and individuality.

We are cloth.
